Thanks to the Early Detection Programme, 172 cases were identified in 2023

The regional health minister for the Junta de Andalucía, Catalina García, highlighted on Thursday the increase in women screened for breast cancer in recent years, which she described as 'a social achievement'. She noted that between January and October 2023, 387,906 women were screened, representing a 34.22% increase on the mammograms carried out throughout 2018, which totalled 289,014.
